Novel scheduled for release November 2, 2008 Chuck MacInenery is one of Philadelphia's top homicide detectives and considered by many the best detective in the country. After several murders by an ingenious serial killer MacInenery becomes one of the victims. The Philadelphia Police Department Detectives unit's work ain three-man team each unit bearing the name of the lead detective. The chief announces that the Bobby Nolan team will take over. The three natives of the city make up this team. Nolan's family has a long and honored history with the department. Jimmy Longo, a hard nose Italian from South Philly and Bill Sharp a former Olympian, make up the Nolan team. The team becomes successful after figuring out a puzzle that leads them to a general location when the killer strike again. Because of the mental stress, Bobby Nolan leaves the department and the city of Brotherly Love. He travels south along the Atlanta coast visiting many towns and cities heading towards Florida. He stops to help an elderly woman, who in return allows him to use one of her seaside homes at Edisto Beach a little over an hour south of Charleston, South Carolina. With a population of less than 500 year-round residents. Nolan purchases a small bar, and calls it "Nolan's Place" and works mostly by himself for over 10 years. Many times visitors who stop for some libation find a sign "Gone fishing, back at 6 p.m." or "Playing golf, re-open about 5 p.m." Ten years later, a brutal murder occurred on the beach with two young people being slaughtered. All of the evidence points to the town's hero, who was well-liked and respected by everyone. The townspeople refuse to believe the evidence against him and rallied behind his defense. Nolan is pressed into service to help solve the murders. |
